Ninja Gaiden was a groundbreaking game way back on the original Nintendo (NES). It had a detailed story with cutscenes, intrigue, and twists as well as a legendarily steep difficulty and some killer music.

I wanted to take one of my favorite tracks from the game from the Prison of the Dead level and give it a spin using only percussion. A lot of percussion, in fact. This was one of my favorite games as a kid, so I was really glad to do something really unique with its iconic soundtrack.
