This is quite an old one! Back in 2011 I wrote an arrangement (“remix”) of two themes from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. I wanted to take the unsettling beauty of the Song of Healing from the game and juxtapose it against the chaotic Majora’s Theme. That means intentionally harsh transitions, heavy dissonances, haunting melodic passages, and some really cool orchestration. It was originally submitted to OverClocked Remix here and got some really great responses!

I still have a soft spot for all the cool stuff in this arrangement. I honestly wish I still had the project files because I’d love to update it with some more sophisticated samples, better mixing, and a cleaner recording on the live trumpet (or at least better reverb applied to it). But that’s alright, I’m still proud of what I was about to do nine years ago!
